Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I choose Love & Kindness Surrogacy?

Love & Kindness guides you through every second of the surrogacy process. We understand this can be both an exciting but exhausting journey. Therefore, we promise to lead you through finding the perfect surrogate, communicating honestly about the process, and helping you to achieve your dream of completing your family.

Our dedication to your needs is our priority from the moment our staff engages with you, all the way through to the delivery of your surrogate and beyond. We’re committed to guiding you through any bumps, questions, and worries you have during this time. This is a level of devotion you won’t find in any other agency

How can I get started as an intended parent with you?

A consultation with Love & Kindness is the first step. During this meeting, please tell us your story and how you’ve chosen surrogacy to build your family. Afterward, we’ll give you a straightforward explanation about our process, services, and answer any question you have about Love & Kindness and the surrogacy journey.

Why do women choose to become surrogates?

Surrogates help families who have struggled with infertility. They wish to do something for these loving families and realize surrogacy is a viable option. For others, pregnancy is an enjoyable, loving process and feel the need to help intended parents. This is how they can make dreams come true for so many people around the world.

How long does the surrogacy process take?

After you, as the Intended Parents, sign up for Love & Kindness’ surrogacy services, it typically takes about one (1) year to eighteen (18) months for you to bring a child home. But of course it’s different for every situation, depending on several factors such as medical and legal aspects of the process.

How much does it cost to have a child via surrogacy?

There are many factors that affect the cost, such as your IVF clinic costs, egg donor compensation (if applicable), surrogate compensation, legal fees, and your surrogate’s medical bills and newborn medical bills (if any). At Love & Kindness, we promise to do our best to help you achieve your dream of building a family affordably. When you get in touch with us, you will receive a cost estimate from us based on your situation and needs.

Can I enter the process regardless of my relationship status?

Of course! Whether you are a heterosexual married couple, a same-sex unmarried couple, or a single client, we will definitely find you a surrogate candidate in a state that works for you legally. We only ask that you be completely honest with us of your marital/relationship status from the beginning, because that’s needed for the parental rights legal proceedings.

What happens to my remaining frozen embryos?

Your IVF clinic stores your frozen embryos. You’ll be advised about your options regarding these frozen embryos if your family is now complete. You may move your embryos, in which case your IVF clinic will assist you.

I don’t live in the United States, is that okay?

Yes! We specialize in helping intended parents from all over the world. Our process allows for minimal travel back and forth. If you’d like to be physically present during the pregnancy, we suggest you apply for a U.S. Visa to allow that. If you cannot be physically present until the birth of the child, don’t worry! Our client portal and mobile app gives you up-to-date at all times and communicate directly with the intended parents.

Will I be able to have contact with my surrogate?

Love & Kindness Surrogacy encourages open and honest communication. Building a purposeful connection with the parties involved in the child’s life can be beneficial for all parties involved. We also enable instant communication on our desktop and mobile surrogacy app, which provides updates between both parties.

How are surrogates screened at Love & Kindness?

All women applying to be a surrogate with Love & Kindness Surrogacy must first fill out a detailed questionnaire. After reviewing a candidate’s answers to the questionnaire, we’ll collect and review her all medical records, as well as run a detailed background check. If everything comes out positively, she can be accepted as a surrogate candidate for Love & Kindness.

Where will my child be delivered?

Surrogates are given as much freedom as possible to choose where they will give birth, as long as the hospital has a NICU (neonatal intensive care unit) and is covered under the insurance policy used to cover her surrogacy-related medical fees. If you wish to be present in the delivery room for the birth of your child, this may require the consent of the surrogate and adherence to hospital policy.

If I don’t live in the United States, can my child still get a passport?

Yes. Children born within the United States are automatically authorized for a U.S passport and U.S citizenship, even if the intended parents aren’t U.S citizens. For this reasoning, most intended parents can return to home to their country with a native passport for their child.

How long should I expect to be in the United States after delivery?

We advise international clients to plan to stay in the United States for up to five (5) weeks post birth to allow ample time for the legal proceedings, the issuing of the birth certificate, the application of the U.S. passport and your home country visa/travel permit (if necessary).

Is it okay if I don’t speak much English?

No worries! We have a professional team of translators available for all your language needs. When you’re in the matching process with our amazing surrogate candidates, we also translate all profiles, fee sheets, and agency retainers for your convenience.
